Real Truth...
Jesus loves me
this I know for the Bible
tells me so,
little ones to Him
belong...
In the grand scheme of
things - it doesn't really matter what Christie Hoos has to say - except to my husband of
course :)
What really matters is
what the GOD of the universe has to say. This entire site is based
on the Bible which is the actual Word of GOD. It is the divinely
inspired and completely inerrant. It is totally reliable. For those of you who
disagree - I hope that this page will give you cause to consider the claim.
God
Says So...
The Bible itself makes it clear that it is
the very word of GOD!
-
The phrases "Thus saith the Lord" and "God spoke these words" appear more than 2,000 times in the
Old Testament.
Every word of God is flawless;
he is a shield to those who take
refuge in him.
Proverbs 30:5
Jesus
Said So...
Jesus himself endorsed the Old
Testament Scriptures. He believed them to be absolutely true!
-
Jesus quoted scripture when Satan tempted
him: -Matt 4:1-10
-
Jesus taught from the scriptures -Luke
24:27
-
Jesus taught that the scriptures are
reliable -John 10:35,Luke 16:27
-
Jesus often referred to the miracles of
the Old Testament -Luke 17:29, John 6:32, John 3:14, Matt 12:39-40
The
Apostles Said So...
Most of the writers of the New
Testament died horrible deaths for their commitment to the message of the Bible
- would these eyewitnesses suffer the most gruesome deaths to protect a lie?
History has recorded the suffering of the early Christians as they proclaimed
the truth of this "New Testament".
-
The apostle Paul (who was imprisoned for
years during which time he wrote much of the New Testament, then later
beheaded) defined scripture this way:
All Scripture is God-breathed
and is useful for teaching,
rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,
so that the man of God may be thoroughly
equipped for every good work.
Timothy 3:16-17
Fulfilled
Prophecy
There are over 2,000 prophecies in
the Old Testament that have already been fulfilled!
* 333 prophecies
concerning Jesus which were ALL fulfilled
* prophecy concerning
the re-establishment of Israel as a nation was correct to the day (May 15, 1948)
Archaeological
Evidence
Time and time again the validity
of the Scriptures are confirmed by archeology. The Bible is so accurate that
many archeologists who have sought to disprove it are forced to use it as a
guide. There is no other historical document that can be relied on like the
Bible.
* The Bible refers to
47 Gentile kings who ruled near Israel. No other historical text mentions their
names, yet archaeologists found the names of each of these 47 kings exactly
where the Bible says they reigned.
"It can be categorically stated
that not one single archaeological discovery
has ever controverted a biblical
text."
Nelson Glueck -
famous archeologist
IT CANNOT BE DESTROYED
The Scriptures have survived more
than 2,600 years full of persecution and powerful enemies.
This is no ordinary book!
IT
REMAINS UNCHANGED
Only the word of GOD could
withstand thousands of years without changing it's text.
THE
LIVING PROOF... A CHANGED LIFE
The Holy Spirit who dwells within
all believers assures us that this is indeed the Word of GOD. No other book has
the ability to transform a life like the Bible. It has changed my life and it
can change yours!
Take to heart all the words I
have solemnly declared to you this day,
so that you may command your
children to obey carefully all the words of this law.
They are not just idle words for
you—they are your life.
Deuteronomy
32:46-47
WARNING
The Bible must be taken in it's
entirety!
We must not pick and choose some
verses and phrases, while ignoring the rest.
We must not take the Bible out of
context.
(careful study will reveal the
intention of the passage - i.e. Is a passage literal or symbolic?)
If you feel I have
done any of the above at any point on this site, please let me know.
